👋🏽 Hey there
I’m a Texas native, currently settled in east Austin. When I’m not pushing pixels, I like to tend to my many houseplants, jam to live music, exercise, explore nature, and love on my dogs. I volunteer, foster and advocate for pitbull-type dogs via a local nonprofit, Loveabull.
My interest in product design began shortly after the pandemic -groundbreaking, I know. Like the rest of the world, I was dissatisfied with where I was, what I was doing, and in need of a creative outlet that still allowed me to connect with other humans. I found product design when researching tech boot camps to jumpstart a new career. The more I learned about design theory and thinking, the more connected I felt to the field.
With a background in Biology, concepts like UX research and the psychology of users simply clicked. Doing what the brain does best, I began to draw so many connections between my various roles over the years and how I naturally implemented UX in many positions I held. More than anything, I can’t wait to bring my skills to a team, learn from other professionals, and grow into a field I have been exploring and which continually intrigues me. I am eager to meet the challenge of an ever-evolving field with a hopeful curiosity.
